Union Common

Roles: Creative Direction / Art Direction & Graphic Design / Marketing Strategy & Execution / Photography

Union Common was a 1920s-inspired fine dining establishment in the Midtown neighborhood of Nashville. With an incredible amount of competition in the food & beverage industry in that burgeoning market, it was important to understand how we could bring a stronger voice and level of polish to the brand. I started with the website and in-store menus, and leaned heavily on photography rather than graphics to bring a level of sophistication to our digital presence. In order to bring in a younger set of clientele, we focused efforts on our newer brunch service, and focused on leveraging our happy hour (which had more accessible price points for young buyers). Unfortunately, the restaurant was sold right before the pandemic and is now permanently closed.

Marketing

While certainly a creative, I believe strongly in leveraging data to be the best steward of our resources - and reported monthly on my efforts. You’ll find that we saw a 33% increase in visitors to the store YoY for Oct 2019, as well as a near 8% jump in Instagram followers that resulted from a partnership campaign I executed.
