Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse & Raw Bar
Roles: Creative Direction / Art Direction & Graphic Design / Marketing Strategy & Execution
Our flagship restaurant in the Bertuca Hospitality portfolio, Doc Crow’s is a hot spot for BBQ, oysters, and bourbon in downtown Louisville - catering to a tourist crowd, as well as lunchtime business clientele and ramping up prior to basketball games and activities happening at the nearby Yum! Center. I was responsible for all marketing, brand, and design-related activity in my tenure with the business. I collaborated closely with our GM and kitchen staff to not only promote the restaurant in the best ways, but stay on top of new menu additions, strategically position our offerings based on our sales data, maintain a positive virtual presence online, leverage new advertising opportunities, and overall be an ambassador for the Doc Crow’s brand.

Website
The Doc Crow’s website needed a refresh - and a thread that ran to the new Bourbon Room brand as well. After collaborating with several stakeholders, I created this series of mockups to drive the design process.
Marketing
I put together a monthly report that covered analytics and results of my marketing efforts - as well as an overview of digital customer feedback. While certainly a creative type (you saw my “every kiss begins with shrimp” holiday gif up above), I believe strongly in leveraging data to be the best steward of our resources. You’ll find that we saw a 13% increase in visitors to the store YoY for February 2020.
